Opera Today

Following Kevin‘s advice, I downloaded the newest version of Opera and gave it a whirl. So far I have to say that I can’t seem to get used to it. Given a choice between Firefox and Opera, I would choose Firefox. However, I’m glad I now have a recent version of Opera on my computer, as I’ll be able to check how my sites render with that browser as well. So far so good, except for a few glitches. In fact, I’m quite pleased with the relative lack of wild differences among browsers.

  1. There is a definite learning curve involved with Opera. The flexibility and customizability (is that a word?) is nice, but took some time to get figured out. Figuring out the mail system was even more difficult, but once I got the hang of it, I started to appreciate it.

Ask me again in a few weeks, though. 🙂

  2. Yeah, you do have a tendency of changing browser/e-mail system (as well as blog and blog domain) as often as most people change their underwear… 😛

  3. Hey, now! I change my underwear at least weekly, as often as I change domains. I only change email clients twice a year. 🙂
